I Like Ron's idea of having a "comfort" scale on the intake form.  Have a no smoking client right now who answered 5/10 on the discomfort question.  Good to know that this person needs some extra work to get comfortable and ready for the no smoking work.

Hi Ron,

Thanks for the invitation to join your group.  I look forward to sharing ideas about how to relieve people's pain using brain dialog and hypnosis.

I highly recommend visiting Ron Eslinger at the Convention.  Ron, you are one of my favorite trainers, although I have only had the pleasure of watching you on DVD, this year I look forward to meeting you in person.  I use your techniques in my sessions are the time, and the are most beneficial. When I help someone manage pain I know I have done something very important, and helped make it possible to live life again.

Working with pain and cancer clients is the most rewarding work I do.  Both groups feel helpless in their situation and may undergo many surgeries and procedures that are uncomfortable and expensive.  I will share some new insights I have for both during the pain course and during my two hour "Do you Have a Script for This?”  However, if you want to have fun, start an anger management group.  You will laugh and cry at what you hear.

Re Cancer Patients:  I volunteer to work with outpatient chemo patients.  Stress reduction with DS that "they will be amazed at how well they do with all of this" makes a visible change in their feelings of wellbeing.  Also, DS that they can just let go of any emotions that have anything to do with why they are there now.  Ds: that they can relax themselves any time by just focusing on their breathing like we are doing now and allowing themselves to relax...and that they do their best healing when they are relaxed.  This is a short form.  I do not get much time with each of them.  I also do Reiki at the same time.  I would love to hear of others' experiences.
